I hope you are all well as another semester is coming to a close. First of all, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your on-going support for KACA. Many of you have kindly volunteered your time to help the KACA in so many different ways over the past year. I am deeply grateful for your support for the KACA.
In return for your support, the KACA officers and myself have been working hard to make sure that the KACA meets your needs be it social or academic. To ensure that the KACA activities are designed to meet your needs well, we want to gather your feedback regarding the KACA and its activities through a survey. Professors Nojin Kwak (U of Michigan), Sungeun Chung (Western Illinois U), and Hye-Eun Lee (U of Hawaii at Manoa) volunteered to help in this effort and have created a short survey for our faculty members. The survey contains questions regarding your perceptions and attitudes toward the KACA and its activities/events as well as your career in American.
The survey should take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and you may skip any questions at any time. All answers are CONFIDENTIAL and ANONYMOUS.
Information from this survey will be used for identifying our members’ needs, and to design future KACA activities and programs to better address your needs. Your participation in the survey will be deeply appreciated. To participate in the survey, please click this link.

Dear KACA members
The Korean American Communication Association (KACA) will hold a special panel session at the annual conference of the International Communication Association to be held in Chicago, IL, in May 21-25, 2009.
If you are interested in presenting at the KACA session, please submit either a completed paper or an extended abstracts reporting on new research by 11:00 p.m. EST on October 24, 2008 (email to: s-chung@wiu.edu).
The manuscript that receives the highest evaluation will be selected as the Best KACA Paper, and will receive a small cash prize.Only completed papers will be considered for the Best KACA Paper Award.
