KACA 30th Anniversary Conference

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Aloha KACA members.

It is hard to believe that it is already late July. The KACA 30th Anniversary Conference will be in just two weeks!

I would like to emphasize that this conference will be an opprotunity for all of Korean communciation scholars to come together and share our research findings as well as our visions for the future.
The conference should be very interesting with Dr. Youn Ho Oh, the president of the OhmyNews, who has made news worldwide by his innovative citizen journalism site as our plenary speaker. We will also have an opportunity to celebrate our successes at the gala reception sponsored by the Korea Times U.S.A..

For years, we all attended different conferences depending on what our subfields are. Some only attends NCA, others only attends AEJMC, ICA or AAA. This time, however, we will all come together and have our own event regardless of our disciplinary differences. This is truly our event, and we need your participation to make this a successful event. I am attaching the conference registration form. To qualify for the discounted registration fee, your registration should be postmarked by July 25. So, you still have a couple of days to register at the discounted rate. Otherwise, you can come to an hotel and register on the day of the conference. I am attching the conference agenda as well.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Chicago on August 5!
